We intend to complete most of the practices outside in the beautiful gardens of the setting, but there is also a space inside should the weather be unconformable.
Teas, Chalice Wells spring water and some light snacks will be available but you will need to bring your own packed lunch.
There will be some gentle movement practices and a walk up the Tor, if you have any mobility issues, please discuss with the facilitator before booking.
We will arrive at 9.30am to settle in, make tea and introduce ourselves, silence will begin at 10am.
You will be guided through a day of mindfulness practices and meditations, meaningful poems and readings.
The day will end with a silent pilgrimage up the sacred Glastonbury Tor, where we will break silence together once we arrive at the top. The day will end no later than 6pm.
It is recommended that you bring anything you need to feel comfortable, such as pillows, blankets, bolsters etc. (some can be provided, but they are limited so you will need to request in advance).
We offer 2 payment structures. The day is £60 per person for those earning a regular income. For those on a low income or state benefits, a ticket can be purchased for £40.
All participants will need to book and register in advance.
Participants do not need to have prior experience of mindfulness of meditation, however the day can feel intense for those with no prior experience.
The silent retreat is hosted by Evan Curwen, who is a qualified and experienced mindfulness teacher who is fully insured.
